Urban IMPACT
Enroll
Urban IMPACT focuses on Social IMPACT projects, Social competent values and cultural outreach. One of our current projects are building lights out of solar panels and recycled material to provide lighting to villages around the globe specifically Kenya Africa (Kibera Slum). We are rounding up the light project and sending them off in the near future. If your interested in in enrolling your youth into the program please contact Joe Aragon at joe@thamyx.org.
The light project has been a hit. Youth are engaged, and enjoying making something for someone else who is in need of light.
Training
Urban IMPACT also trains mentors to assist in mentoring and coaching youth. If your interested in becoming a mentor please contact Ellen Barton at ellen@thamyx.org.This a great way to be trained and utilized in your gifts. We are looking to make great IMPACT through our mentors. Our first training session went very well. The excitement is brewing as the training began. We are looking for more individuals who want to become mentors for the youth. The training focuses on many different areas. Some of the topics include, the do’s and don’ts of a mentor, legalities, and cultural sensitivity issues just to name a few.
This program is partly supported by the Department of Labor. We are currently looking for individuals who can pour resources into this program to help us continue reaching the community of youth. Please consider helping us today!
