Holiday Season 2009!

GOD IS GOOD! That’s all I have to say. Well actually, I would like to share a little more. This time of year is rough, depressing, harsh for some if not most of the people in this world. I have been deeply encouraged to see the men and women of God come together to lend a helping hand to those in need. Not all those who lend helping hands have it all together either. It seems that when you take a bunch of SUB-urban folk, and UR-ban folk and MYX them together you get SUPER-natural outcomes. Not only do the lives of the inner city get touched and reached, so do the lives of those who live in the suburbs. This is totally amazing! On November 21st, we were able to feed 300 meals on a saturday afternoon in the front side of our church. Going back and thinking how in the world we would make this possible, made me realize that I have to fully depend on God to make it happen. Well as people lined up from all kinds of different walks of life, I was touched. Watching those volunteer’s serve and be a part of the BIGGER picture of what God is doing was truly amazing. Seeing these working class, middle class and even upper class individuals laying aside all their selfs to be a blessing. In all in all, they were touched too in their own special ways. It’s truly amazing when God’s people come together for one good cause and allow the Holy Spirit to work through them. On November 21, 2009, LIVES WERE CHANGED! AMEN to that one! The next day at church, we held a service of about 90. Not bad for our first year of the Church plant! The best part was when lives got saved and right after, sent people away with food to feed their families that afternoon. God not only provided food on saturday for 300 folks, but there was plenty of left over for the whole church to take food home. Kinda like God feeding how many with 5 loaves of bread? Wow, thank you JESUS for all you do. – AGE
